By  |

Most gamers know that during the summer we usually get very few releases, developers tend to save their biggest releases for the fall. So we are left with waiting for news on upcoming releases. However, this summer that’s not entirely true, there are games coming out and they are totally worth your time! Here are five of those binge-worthy games!

  1. Star Ocean 5 – Release Date June 28th

With the release date of late June here in the west, Star Ocean 5 “Integrity and Faithlessness” proves to be a return to the series’ finer hours and there will also be some interesting innovative changes to the beloved action combat. You’ll have up to six playable characters in combat (!!!) with a seventh as support. Battles will also happen right where you encounter enemies.

  1. Battleborn – Released May 3rd, 2016

The developers of Borderlands are at it again with this first person shooter, which will contain the same addicting combat set in a quirky colorful world with just as quirky and colorful characters. Beta reviews have been positive.

  1. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – Release Date May 10th, 2016

The Uncharted series has been known as one of Sony’s best series to come out in years. Rumors have been flying around that this will be Jake’s last adventure. Where will it lead? Will our beloved hero die? I guess we will just have to wait to find out.

  1. No Man’s Sky – June 21st, 2016

Coming out in late June, No Man’s Sky will prove to be a time waster if there ever was one. The game boasts a massive universe that is infinitely being created. The logistics of an ever changing world, one in which you’ll visit and it’ll never the same as the next, is definitely a game that will keep you entertained for weeks!

  1. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Release Date August 23rd, 2016

This entry will be late into the summer with a mid-August release date, but it will be there for you when you’re bumming out over the end of summer and the upcoming new semester. The first game found in the series rebooted to great success and Mankind Divided will improve on such things as combat and story choices. Let’s hope it keeps us entertained well into the first week of classes.
