Daily: Microsoft Confirms Scalebound Cancelled
PlatinumGames, known for their hard hitting action based series Bayonetta, are in the news for a sad reason. Microsoft announced today that they have parted ways with the development of the game Scalebound. Scalebound was meant to be Microsoft’s answer to both the Japanese RPG reign that PS4 has continued to have and their take on the monster hunting genre that’s become so popular over the years.
The official statement reads:
“After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for Scalebound. We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves and other great experiences. This is sad news for many people who were looking forward to seeing what the game was going to become. The action looked fun; you had a nice blend of both the Fantasy and sci fi. It’s sad to see it go off into the abyss but least we still have Nier Automata!
