Weekly Manga Minute #17
In this week’s Manga Minute, we have some great announcements, about some new up coming manga releases, alongside a new manga starting up. We also have some sad news for a beloved manga series ending in a few more chapters. Read below for more!
Sad news Yamada-kun fans. The manga that’s been coming to you since 2012 will be ending in five chapters, it was a revealed on the cover of this year’s eighth issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen magazine.
Yonkou Productions also let their fans now via a tweet as well:

While this is sad news, the end of it does seem to be coming from a planned place and not an abrupt one. Hopefully this means that the end is fulfilling to fans.
Looking for some new manga? Well Kodansha has got some coming your way!
First off there’s To Your Eternity, which is what Kodansha is describing as a “spiritual Fantasy.” They do have the first chapter available for those who want to take a sneak peek. Kodansha will be dropping the first ten chapters, on January 24th. This is simultaneously with the release of the tenth Japanese chapter. Moving forward each chapter will be released simultaneously on this same schedule, and each chapter will be 99 cents each!
Kodansha describes the series:
“Following the critically acclaimed A Silent Voice—which was nominated for an Eisner and named one of 2016’s “Great Graphic Novels for Teens” by the American Library Association—Oima goes in a completely new direction with this compelling tale of an abandoned native boy journeying alone in the frozen north with only a mysterious wolf for a companion.”

And lastly from Kodansha we have the newly released Volume 18 of The Seven Deadly Sins!

Are you an Re:Creators fan? Well if so they you’ll be excited to know that the latest issue of Shogakukan’s Monthly Sunday Gene-X announced on Thursday that the upcoming Re:CREATORS original television anime project will get a manga adaptation in the magazine beginning this spring!
Queue the fireworks!
Daiki Kase (Man-ken) is drawing the series!
For those of you who may not know what the big deal is, here’s the description straight from the site:
“Humans have created many stories. Joy, sadness, anger, deep emotion. Stories shake our emotions, and fascinate us. However, these are only the thoughts of bystanders. But what if the characters in the story have “intentions”? To them, are we god-like existences for bringing their story into the world? Our world is changed.
