Weekly Anime Update #3

By  |

Are you like us and still reeling from the weekend and Attack On Titan’s season 2 premiere? Yeah, we thought so! And as much as we’d love to make this whole list about nothing but Attack On Titan, we have to peel away from the screen long enough to look at what’s going on with other animes in world! Here’s your Anime Update for the week of April 5, 2017!

1. BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS Released on Crunchyroll!

Naruto fans will be excited to know that the latest extension of the Naruto universe has been uploaded to Crunchyroll!

This is a perfect distraction while we all wait for the next episode of Attack On Titan!

2. My Hero Academia Season 2 is here!

“Choose you hero,” Crunchyroll dares you. Who did you choose?! If you haven’t see it … Who will you choose? If you’re still not sure, then maybe watching the trailer for it will help you!

3. Armed Girl’s Machiavellism first episode released.

If you want something a little less mainstream then maybe Armed Girl’s Machiavellism is more of your thing.

The description:

“Nomura Fudou is sent to Private Aichi Symbiosis Academy, which is ruled by the student organization called “Five Ruling Swords”. He is given the option: be expelled, or act and dress like a girl!”

4. SENTAI FILMWORKS to Release Tamako-Love Story on home video in 2017!

Sentai Filmworks is not relenting on the releases and it seems like Tamako-Love Story is it’s next “culprit!”

Their official press release mentions:

“Sentai Filmworks is reuniting fans of the beloved 2013 Kyoto Animation series Tamako Market with their favorite mochi shops of the Usagiyama Shopping District. Helmed by Tamako Market director Naoko Yamada (K-ON!, A Silent Voice), Tamako-love story- is an all-new tale that takes place after the events of the original television series.”

It’s nice to see the show getting a second chance to be seen!

5. Final episode of Akiba’s trip premieres on Funimation!

We won’t spoil it here but there are some reactions to the ending that make people wonder what’s next – if there is anything that is indeed next. It’s been quite the… “trip” regardless.
